“Stewartry RFC are an active Community club based in Castle Douglas in South West Scotland. We provide Rugby for all ages from 7 years to Adult, and have our own designated Youth Development Officer. Recently we have opened a gym and fitness suite and this is open to the wider Community. We wanted to provide a clubhouse that was accessible to all ages and stages within our community, but as the function room was upstairs, this was restrictive to the disabled and less firm. We decided to incorporate a disabled lift within the clubhouse, to provide access to all who wished to enjoy what we can offer.
Stewartry RFC received excellent and valuable support from the Rob Stephenson Trust through our fund raising efforts and we are all very grateful for this. We now have a facility that in the true spirit of the Trust will allow our Community to ‘Laugh, Live, Learn and Play’.
