Sam and Emily travelled to Rwanda in February, having reached out to a few people, they had the opportunity to take some equipment in their luggage. Thanks go to Lea Hinnen, who put them in contact with Plan International in Rwanda. They specialise in working with 3 of the 5 refugee camps in Rwanda. Over 40 footballs and additional equipment were delivered to the Plan International offices in Kigali, to be distributed to the camps and enable football coaching and tournaments.
In addition, Sam Harison kindly offered his support in delivering cycling equipment, including repair kits and tops, to Rwanda Beyond. They provide equipment to Rwanda’s budding cycling community and enable races for those looking to excel in the sport. In addition to the cycling equipment, Sam also provided some equipment to the Kigali rugby community.
