In summer 2016 the Rob Stephenson Trust started its ongoing relationship with the Piacicaba Rugby Club in Brazil. Founded in 1976 and based around the University the club has grown to be part of the local community. Members of the club believe that giving back to the community is a key role of the rugby family. We have donated kit and equipment which has enabled the players to take coaching into the wider community, particularly to the more socially challenging areas of the favelas around Sao Paulo. In 2020 we hope to welcome João Pedro Cabral to the Malton club to improve his rugby and coaching skills.
