We have recently sent some football kit to Cape Town. This contact came through my old university friend, Julia Clarke, who has been visiting Cape Town on holiday for the last 10 years.
The local golf caddie shack is run by Julia’s friend Sike, who is also the preacher at the local church. He was the contact for this delivery. They are so poor that Sike has not seen the youngest of his three sons for a year as he lives with his wife’s mother in a far away city. As you can see by the boy faces they are proud of their new kit. They really do have very little and we are going to send them cricket equipment later in the year too.
